VIC96 coming up the Great Yarmouth river Sunday 2/8/09 at 0811 Vic stands for Victualling Inshore Craft built by several shipyards toward the end of WW2 to serve the fleet. She has an upright Cochran boiler and a compound steam engine by Crabtree of Great Yarmouth. Could be one of the last engines working. She is on her way from Maryport to her home port of Chatham.
