Our Lizzie is now based in Plymouth where she is currently undergoing repairs in preparation for a trip to Scotland in Summer 2013.

I spent a while living on lizzie where she provided us with a very happy home. we installed a bathroom and 'running' water to make living aboard more comfortable. she was a joy and many happy adventures were spent with her leading our way.
we spent the majority of our time on the river exe between the years of 2007-2008/9 where she later moved to Dartmouth

The (previous) owner motored Our Lizzie with us from Topsham to Dartmouth in Summer 2007 where we lived aboard and worked, had our baby living aboard with us until I moved 2010 - she was then sold a few years after, last heard to be sailing to Dunkirk 2015. (Currently in The Med?). What a beautiful old Ketch steeped in history from fishing boat to Dunkirk Little Ship, charters, fame on TV and a home to some. I hope she remains a part of people's lives for many years to come...

This photo was added the month before our daughter was born who lived aboard with us. The (previous) owner motored with us Summer 2007 from Topsham to Dartmouth where we lived aboard until 2010. We also enjoyed cruising on Lizzie in the Dartmouth Regatta! She was sold a few years after (was told now back in The Med?) Dunkirk bound this year. What a beautiful old Ketch steeped in history, from fishing boat to Dunkirk Little Ship, charter, TV fame and a home to some. I hope she remains in people's lives for many years to come...

I enjoyed several holidays in the 70s aboard 'Freebooter' skippered by Ray Barnett. Regularly we would come down from Kent to Dartmouth to take her down to Fal ready for her summer season and then, in the autumn, we would bring her back to Devon to be put to bed for the winter. One year, I think it the year that the trans-atlantic race first went double-handed, it was blowing such a gale that the racers had all crossed the channel and taken shelter off the French Coast. We buffeted our way down the coast keeping in touch with the shore through one of our number who was a radio ham.
